Red, white and blue balloons steeped in significance decorated the sky as a final farewell to "cheeky little monkey" Regan Burton who was killed by an out-of-control rally car in West Australia's south-west.
A large crowd dressed in red made their way to Bunbury's Crematorium Chapel on Friday afternoon to farewell six-year-old Regan.
Regan's short life was cut tragically short earlier this month when a rally car competing at the 2015 Donnelly Rally lost control and crashed through a temporary barrier.
Regan's mum Kylie delivered the eulogy and spoke of the "cheeky little monkey" whose passing had left a hole in the family members' hearts.
"He was a gorgeous boy who was full of life and always there for his mates," she said.
"Regan enjoyed Saturday mornings when he could run around the oval with his friends.
"He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone."
A montage of photos that captured the highlights of Regan's short but adventurous life were shown and set to his favourite song – Superheroes by The Script.
After the service Dean Margetts, a friend of the Dalyellup family, said the service was a mixture of sadness and laughter.
He also said Regan's brother Braeden and sister Caitlyn, who were injured in the crash, were getting better and expected to make a full recovery.
The service finished with the red, white and blue balloons being released.
Mr Margetts said red was Regan's favourite colour, the blue was a nod to his beloved football team the West Coast Eagles and the white represented a "clean, fresh start for his new life upstairs".
