Despite a bit of a stumble Kerry Stokes, chairman of the Channel 7 Telethon Trust, took to the stage on Friday afternoon at an event to celebrate the charity's distribution of more than $25 million to 45 different organisations.
The chairman of Seven West Media took a tumble as he was climbed the stairs to the podium at the event in the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
He brushed off the episode and went on to congratulate the Telethon beneficiaries, the charity's million dollar partners and the mums, dads and children who donate every year.
The special guest at the Telethon Beneficiary Celebration was Premier Colin Barnett.
Money raised by Telethon is distributed back within the community to organisation which apply for grants. Telethon's two main beneficiaries are the Telethon Kids Institute and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children.
WA Senator Mathias Cormann represented the Federal Government which donated $1m to Telethon in 2014 and has donated $12m since 2007.
Telethon has fundraising events throughout the year which culminate in the annual 26 hour marathon TV broadcast on Telethon Weekend. This year it will be held jon October 17 and 18.
