WITH growing support for Margaret River Region wines the Dunsborough Liquorland has increased its local produce.
Liquorland WA manager Karl Weber said the store increased their local wine by 40 to make a total of 200 because of the demand.
“Throughout WA, people are very loyal to wines grown within the state, and this goes doubly for the Margaret River Region,” Mr Weber said.
Wills Domain’s Semillon sauvignon blanc is just one of the new wines stocked at the store.
Managing director Darren Haunold said it was great see local wine heroes supported as well providing access for local fans.
“Even though we have our own cellar door we’re 15km out of town, so people won’t necessarily come out here frequently to stock up on our wines, they’d rather purchase conveniently in town while they’re picking up their groceries,” he said.
Evans & Tate, Leeuwin Estate, Howard Park, Hay Shed Hill, Deep Woods Estate and Watershed are also new features to the local list.
