COMMUNITY members gathered at the Busselton Bowling club on Sunday night to say farewell to two of the city's popular cops.
Senior sergeant Steve Principe and sergeant Todd Carrington will be moving to the Kimberley this week to start their new roles.
Sergeant Carrington will become the officer in charge of a multi function police facility in the Dampier Peninsula while senior sergeant Principe will be the officer in charge of the Kununurra police station.
South West inspector Pete Davies attended the farewell event and said senior sergeant Principe had done an excellent job in Busselton.
"Steve has won a great spot in Kununurra due to the hard work he has put in during his time here," he said.
Sergeant Justin Budden will be acting senior sergeant until the position is filled.
