THE sun was shining for the Geographe Bay Seasiders ladies when they hosted Hay Park on Sunday.
Hay Park are currently sitting in the top three, however Geographe are always a determined bunch of ladies and were ready to take on the challenge.
In the first half the game was pretty even with both sides having opportunities to go in the lead.
Unfortunately for Geographe defender Megan Williams was injured and had to leave the pitch reducing Geographe to the bare 11 players.
In the 30th minute a penalty was awarded to Hay Park who took the lead and at half time it was 0-1.
The second half was a different affair for Geographe Bay.
A couple of positional changes were made with goalkeeper Yvette Pradera taking to the pitch as striker and Tegan Hollett back in her old position in goals.
Hay Park had a couple of near misses on goal and any other attacks that came Geographe's way were quickly stopped by the Geographe defence which was ably marshalled by Jesse Avery.
But it was the home side who had the upper hand and control of the game and it wasn't long before Pradera scored her first goal for Geographe Bay to level the score.
Geographe had many chances and were unfortunate not convert to take the lead when an Ashlee Hollett shot hit the crossbar.
However, it was a great team effort by all players to hold Hay Park to a draw.
Christian & Co Electrical player of the day was awarded to Yvette Pradera.
Geographe Bay will enjoy the next two games at their home grounds with kick off 11.00am.
