SATURDAY afternoon sailing saw light winds and sunshine aplenty as the order of the day for the Geographe Bay Yacht Club.
All classes made their way to the start line in an asthmatic, swinging nor wester to contest the second heat of the club championship racing.
Division one were first away with Doug Lawler and crew on Twist and Shout dominating the fleet from start to finish.
Division two blazed away with three yachts competing, John and Anne Smith on Matilda sailed skilfully to take out line honours and yardstick.
Next off were the sharpies with Laurie Francis and crew on Amber Dreams showing the boys how it is done.
Tasars were away with a good fleet of seven displaying close racing with just over a minute separating the top three. Dean and Zoe Dixon took home the bacon.
Then the lasers with Andy Whittle sailing Magic under a full rig kept the 4.7s at bay came in first over the line and on yardstick.
Four very mixed cats battled it out seeing Frank O’Keefe buzz off from the others to win on yardstick.
Last but not least, mixed monos had two 420s sailing with Georgia Johnson and the crew aboard Hillzeez looking the goods.
Another great week on the water.
