The Eagles of Death Metal have postponed all future shows after the Paris attacks in which 89 of their fans and colleagues where killed.
In their first official statement since Friday's massacre at the Bataclan theatre, the band revealed that three more music executives were killed by the terrorists at the venue on Boulevard Voltaire.
Those killed were:Metallica's project manager Thomas Ayad, 34, and Marie Mosser, 24, both of whom worked at Universal Music's subsiduary Mercury Records, and Manu Perez, who had worked as a marketing executive at Universal Music for more than a decade.
Mettalica issued a statement saying, "While Thomas had the official title of being our 'project manager', we knew him as a member of our Metallica family, a fan, a friend ... and a warm, helpful, supportive familiar face each time we visited France.
"[On] Friday we lost Thomas, at the Bataclan theatre, in a way that none of us can begin to comprehend."
A project manager handles administrative and operational responsibilities as well as creating digital content, according to a job description from Universal Music.
The Eagles of Death Metal wrote on Facebook, "While the band is now home safe, we are horrified and still trying to come to terms with what happened in France.
"Our thoughts and hearts are first and foremost with our brother Nick Alexander, our record company comrades Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser, and Manu Perez, and all the friends and fans whose lives were taken in Paris, as well as their friends, families, and loved ones.
"All Eagles of Death Metal shows are on hold until further notice."
The band said they were bonded in grief with the victims, the fans, the families, the citizens of Paris and all those affected by terrorism.
"We are proud to stand together, with our new family, now united by a common goal of love and compassion."
On Thursday, survivors of the attack on the Bataclan used the band's Facebook page as a virtual notice board, posting harrowing tales of survival and reconnecting with those who had been through the experience.
Several thanked "Matt", believed to be the band's bassist, Matt McJunkins, for keeping them safe while they were trapped in a room next to the stage waiting for the bloodshed to end.
"I remained hidden next to Matt during two hours," wrote Stephanie Vignali. "I was not feeling very well and he took me in his arms and told me to breathe calmly. It was so nice in this terrible moment."
Fellow fan Aurélia Gilbert said she was also in the room with Matt, who also plays bass with A Perfect Circle.
"I was there trapped in that room with Matt ... Gave him the biggest hug of my life when we were free, I'm thinking about the ones who will not come to see you again."
Others thanked fellow revellers for getting them through alive by administering emergency first aid for gunshot wounds.
"I would especially like to give my thanks to a lady called Katie, who was holed up in a back office in a bank or post office near the Bataclan with me and who kept pressure on my shot arm to staunch the blood, even though she was desperately worried because she couldn't raise her boyfriend on the phone," British tourist Mark Blackwell wrote.
"She stopped me losing blood and falling into unconsciousness or worse. She was a marvel to me. And I would like to thank the two French firemen who joined us in that office and stayed with us, and the police and paramedics who helped us to safety from there."
Details of how music equipment shielded concertgoers from volleys of bullets have also emerged.
"My boyfriend Michael Knodlseder, a man named Olivier and I could jump over your flycases stocked on the left side of the stage," fan Lorelei Fisher wrote.
"We hide there for over an hour hoping the killers wouldn't find us. A bomb exploded just beside us.
"The piled up boxes and gear protected us from being shredded to pieces. In a way, our lives were saved because of you."
Above all, the fans remained defiant that rock'n'roll should go on.
"They tried to kill me and my wife while dancing in front of our favourite band," Maxime Dourlens wrote.
"The healing can now begin ... Peace, Love and Death Metal."
