THERE was drama, action and a healthy serve of banter at the Busselton Tennis Club's Thursday night fixture.
The local men took to the courts under lights for both singles and doubles matches.
David Forster dealt many of his favoured, punishing forehands on Mark Hunt who showed off excellent footwork.
Ben Priest's monster serves complimented by Andrew Hemsley's deft touch at the net proved a great match for Brycen Godfrey and John McCallum's never-say-die attitude.
James McGregor had plenty of pace and ran his opponent Garry Stokes around the baseline on a number of points.
The pair rallied with exceptional power in a see-sawing affair.
Another entertaining singles match was played between Cliff Silke and Scott Braddock.
Braddock played a very free-flowing style of game and was not afraid to open his shoulders while Silke returned fire with a strong, punchy action that kept his opponent guessing.
The matches were topped off with a constant stream of chatter with players complimenting a particularly fine shot or having a jibe in good spirit at a few missed opportunities.
Clearly the group enjoy what the sport and each other have to offer.
