Bulls Maroon defeat Tornadoes Red
A huge night from South West Slammers product Trent Worthington gifted Bulls Maroon a comfortable win over Tornadoes Red on Friday night.
The win saw Bulls Maroon to a 5-1 record and keeps them on top of the table.
Worthington carved up the Tornadoes Red defence en route to a 32-point night.
He drained two shots from beyond the arch and nailed 12 two-point field goals.
Four of his teammates joined him in double-figure scoring as they took care of business beating Tornadoes Red 89 – 65.
Jordan Hickert (15), Michael Gliddon (11), Patrick Phillips (10) and Nathan Berryman (10) all contributed to the big win.
Thomas Warrigal top scored for Bulls Maroon with 16.
Next week Bulls Maroon takes on Bulls Gold while Tornadoes Red face Busselton.
Aces Navy defeat Tornadoes Grey
A combined 56 points from Aces Navy’s Jeremy Paull and Wade Hitchcock saw their team to a nine-point win over Tornadoes Grey in round six.
Paull poured in 29 points while Hitchcock tallied 27 (hitting seven from beyond the arch) to give their team a huge boost and see them to victory.
Tornadoes Grey tried to counter the dynamic duo with an even spread of points.
Brandon Bennell (14), Joel McKay (12), Darius Smith (12) and Jayden Wilson (10) all had solid nights, but could not get their team to a victory.
Aces Navy ran the game out 83 – 74 winners.
Aces White defeat Bulls Gold
A spirited effort from young gun Matt Germs lifted Aces White to their third victory of the season on Friday night.
Germs poured in 18 points to lead his side to a 66 – 60 win, with a number of teammates also contributing.
Brody England and Aaron Edwards collected 13 and 12 points respectively, while Lee Smith and Jordan Sears bagged eight apiece.
Sam Julitz and Travis Durnin attempted to will Bulls Gold over the line with 18 points each, but fell short.
Aces White plays Aces Navy in round seven.
Tornadoes Black defeat Busselton
Tornadoes Black held steady in fourth spot on the ladder with a win over Busselton on Friday night.
The loss is Busselton’s first in four matches, ending a three-game winning streak which saw them rise from the depths of the ladder.
Busselton remains in fourth spot with a 3-3 record, just one win shy of Tornadoes Black.
Next week Busselton will look to get back on the winners’ list with a big clash against Tornadoes Red.

Bulls defeat Aces White
Rebecca Preston has continued her hot form in clutch games with a big performance helping her side to a narrow win over Aces White.
Bulls controlled their slim lead in the dying minutes of the game to post the win, dealing Aces White their first loss of the season.
Preston poured in 20 points and was the key contributor to her side, while Shannon McRobert was also impressive with 14 points.
Aces White could not get over the line despite having three players score in double figures.
Tiahna Sears (13), Cassady Anderson (13) and Amanda Frontino (10) could not power their team to a win.
Aces White will now head into the bye week while Bulls will play Tornadoes Black in round seven.
Tornadoes Black defeat Busselton
Tornadoes Black kept their spot in the top four of the women’s A-grade division on Friday night with a win over Busselton.
In a bottom-of-the-table clash, Busselton failed to get off the wrong end of the ladder and remain with just one win for the season.
Tornadoes Black will play Bulls next week while Busselton will continue to search for wins against Aces Blue.
