A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has faced Busselton Childrens Court charged over two break-ins at the Busselton Football Club.
The court was told the boy and three of his friends were having a sleep-over on October 30 when they decided to break into the club.
One of the boys forced a window to give the offenders access to the clubrooms at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.
While inside the youths smashed glass cabinets and stole $100 of alcohol.
The four returned to the club at 1.30am on November 8 to repeat the offences, this time stealing $18 worth of potato chips.
Two of the offenders were arrested by police that night as they fled the scene on bicycles.
The other two were charged in the following days.
Magistrate Dianne Scaddan told the year seven student who appeared before her on Tuesday morning that his actions were unacceptable.
“It is wrong to enter other people’s premises without their permission, it is wrong to damage their property and it is wrong to steal from them,” she said.
“You’ve let yourself down and your parents are very disappointed with you.”
The boy was referred to the juvenile justice team for counselling.
