BUSSELTON primary school children will be on the lookout for special visitors this week as the award winning charity Constable Care brings its child safety program to the local community.
Constable Care performers Sam Knox and Andrew Dawson are performing 19 shows at seven school this week.
The performance themes include waste reduction and recycling, pedestrian, road and bike safety, protective behaviours, cultural understanding and violence and harm prevention.
Research shows the early years of a child’s life are crucial in setting the foundation for lifelong behaviour and health outcomes.
Constable Care’s early intervention program benefits the whole community by providing social and psychological benefits to the children who watch the shows which can, in due course, prevent criminality and antisocial behaviour.
The Constable Care Child Safety Foundation performances are designed to entertain children in fun, engaging and memorable ways while addressing potentially damaging patterns of behaviour or situations.
The tour has been made possible with the assistance of the WA Police.
