THE Strikers captured a big win in round seven of the Busselton Softball Association season to give their new skipper her first taste of leadership victory.
Stacy Rouse, who was elected captain, also had her first game as catcher and played brilliantly while Belinda Micken played her short stop position to perfection.
Micken topped off a great game with a home run to see the side triumph over Rangers 28-2.
The other match on Friday night was a ding-dong battle between Panthers and Cougars White.
Danielle Godden impressed for the Cougars White side with her batting while Kylie Hancey took an amazing catch to keep her side in the hunt.
In reply Panther Emma Jane made base on each attempt while Tenaya Docking took an excellent catch in the outer right field.
In the end the Panthers claimed the victory 15-14.
This week Cougars White do battle with Cougars Blue while the Panthers will look to keep their winning streak alive against Rangers.
