ONCE again the old maestro of wind was somewhat reluctant to turn up the volume.
Division one and two sailed heat two of their offshore series for the Geographe Bay Yacht Club.
As a result 10 yachts meandered around the bay with Twist and Shout taking line honours in division one and Matilda first and fastest in division two.
John Ayers and crew aboard Ayers Rocket sailed flawlessly to take first place on correct time, Johnny be good.
Off the beach boats sweltered inshore making the most of the fickle conditions.
Two sharpies skilfully match raced around the course with Amber Dreams and Suicide Blonde doing battle.
Amber Dreams was eventually triumphant with only two minutes to spare.
Next away were the mixed cats with Greg and Samantha McDonald tearing shreds off their competition.
Then the lasers and mixed monos were away and Andy Whittle taking out the lasers, and Catherine Massey and Georgia Johnson best of the 420s.
Pelicans with a great turnout saw up and coming superstars Jacinta Sims and Lace Reid in firth place, and Dennis Dixon and Jack Taylor claiming line honours, keep up the great work.
The Tasers were away this weekend competing in the state championships at the Mounts Bay Yacht Club in Perth.
