A 25-year-old Capel man is in custody after he failed to stop for police on Thursday night.
It will be alleged just before 11pm on February 4, the man was riding a black Kawasaki motorcycle and failed to stop for police on Tonkin Highway, Maddington.
Police followed the motorcycle but lost sight of it on Horrie Miller Drive.
The police helicopter assisted police on the ground, tracking the motorcycle through various districts.
The rider failed to negotiate a traffic island on Swamp Road, Forrestdale and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Police located the man and he was taken to Armadale Health Campus for assessment.
He has been charged with reckless driving, failing to stop, having no authority to drive, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prohibited weapon.
He appeared in the Armadale Magistrates Court today, 5 February 2016.
