THE City of Busselton has identified a number of sites for seasonal commercial operations.
They include the old Nautical Lady site, old Police Station site in the CBD, a site at Holgate reserve in Broadwater, potential sites at Dunsborough’s Seymour Park and Barnard Park in Busselton as well as sites on the Busselton and Dunsborough foreshores.
Expressions of interest are being sought on them as well for a seasonal mobile vending business on the Busselton Jetty.
“Our aim is to grow local business and enhance the range of services and facilities currently on offer at these locations,” Mayor Ian Stubbs said.
“These particular locations have proven popularity and the potential to support seasonal commercial activities. This initial call for expressions of interest will test the market’s appetite for ventures of this nature and the council will consider applications carefully.”
He said that to support the realisation of those commercial opportunities the city had developed a commercial hire site policy to promote the use of popular locations for temporary businesses that would complement existing businesses and help animate frequently visited locations such as those mentioned.
Expressions of interest for the listed sites are open until October 12.
