PRIME Earthmoving Busselton opened its new office and depot in Carbunup River on Monday, with the help of Mines and Petroleum and Small Business Minister Sean Kimberley L'Estrange.
Established in 2011 by labourers-turned-company directors Mark McDonald and Paul Tognela, Prime Earthmoving has since grown into a $5 million civil works and agriculture business now located on 100 acres of land.
Mr McDonald and Mr Tognela were joined by Mr L’Estrange, South West MLC Barry House and a number of employees to officially open the new premises.
Mr L’Estrange said the Prime Earthmoving business helped support the livelihoods of its now 20-strong employee workforce.
“If you (Mr McDonald and Mr Tognela) did not decide to go out on your own and set this business up, these guys might not have a job today,” he said.
“You are supporting families in this local area and then they can go on and spend money they earn on local businesses in the area and the economy keeps growing.”
