TICKETS for new South West event See World Sessions, which will be held at Black Brewing Co on September 17, are now on sale.
See World Sessions creator Drew Leverett said he developed the music-meets-art festival with the South West in mind.
“The region itself has huge draw cards such as the pristine beaches, locally sourced food, wine and beer to accompany those lengthy lunches,” he said.
“We aim to promote a good time with incredible acts coupled with local businesses and the opportunity to truly immerse yourself in such an iconic part of Western Australia.”
Mr Leverett said the first See World Sessions will focus on a live showcase of music and art, and will feature electronic artists Paces, Palace, Kachina, Ricky Green and more.
“For the art buff or culture seeker we’ve also handpicked the South West’s best and upcoming artists to perform the craft live for you on the ‘Isle of Art’, something you’ll only get to experience at the first session at Black Brewing Co,” he said.
“Regarded as Margaret River’s most recent artist to explode onto the scene and who will be performing for you is none other then Aidan Lee Smith. His work speaks for itself – if you aren't familiar with his work, google him now. Along side Aidan is one of the most talented and humble artists we have the pleasure of speaking to and who will be at the event, Chloe Wilder. She will bring a life of colour with a super fun vibe that we can’t wait for you to see.”
Busselton’s very own Jack Bromell will also be at the event, creating his distinct brand of large scale art.
“Using mainly chalk and paint pens he produces works on a massive scale with intricate detail that has to be seen to be truly appreciated,” Mr Leverett said.
“Something that we are really excited and proud to announce is the collaborative piece that the artists will be working on during the afternoon and evening.
“Each artist has one hour to work on the large blank canvas that once finished, will be donated to the Telethon Adventures Charity for auction.”
Black Brewing Co will be turned into a festival ground for the event, and will include a Little Village side stage housed in a giant tee-pee, main stage, exhibition alley featuring surfboard art by Glen Stone, a beer garden and several food stations.
“This is for anyone that is wanting to come and soak up the beginning of what is set to be a game changer of an event for the humble and beautiful South West,” Mr Leverett said. “Come on down, stay a little while, let the good vibes and that South West air fill your lungs and simply, enjoy.”
