BUSSELTON has two new sausage kings, after Jim Anthony and Chris Lane were named the GeoBay Butchering Company’s inaugural Italian sausage competition winners.
Budding sausage makers had until Saturday morning to drop off their bangers to the butcher, before each snag was judged by an expert panel of independent taste testers.
Mr Anthony’s offering won best mild sausage of the competition, while Ms Lane took out the hot sausage award.
GeoBay Butchering Company owners Wayne and Julie Hams hope to make the competition an annual event and the winners are planning to go back to back to take out next year’s award.
