Kai Bates won his maiden Open Men’s Title with a combined 17 point heat total from a possible 20.
Dunsborough’s Richard Wain was a late call up with a wildcard spot and relished the conditions in the Over 50’s division, making it to the semi finals and placed fifth overall.
Gracetown’s Rick Jakovich won a tight final to become a dual Over 40’s Men’s SUP champion.
Forecast: Friday will have 20 knot southerly winds and a three metre plus swell which will produce some great waves in protected bays.
Winds will drop off on Saturday and be variable so there be clean conditions near Yallingup along with a 2.5m swell. Sunday packs it in with west south westerly winds and a 2m swell.
