CONGRATULATIONS to Eagle Bay Brewing Co, which was listed ninth on Beer & Brewer magazine's Top 50 Brewpubs for 2016 list.
Twenty-two industry experts compiled the list of Brewpubs – pubs that brew their own beer on premises and also have a restaurant – which also featured Margaret River’s Cheeky Monkey at number 20.
Eagle Bay Brewing Co marketing and events manager Margarita Wallace said the team were very excited to be selected in the top 10.
“The judges base their selection criteria on the quality of the beers, service at the venue, staff knowledge and venue atmosphere,” she said.
“All of our beers are made onsite and our brew team are dedicated to consistently delivering fresh and delicious beer, for everyone to enjoy.
“We have an awesome hospitality team behind our restaurant and kitchen operations who are passionate about delicious food, the customer experience, staff education and sharing our stories behind our brews.”
Ms Wallace said Eagle Bay Brewing only used freshly harvested rainwater from the sky, malt, hops and yeast to create their beers.
“We do not add any preservatives or additives to our brews and source quality ingredients from around the globe,” she said.
“The majority of our malt is sourced from WA farmers.
“We have solar panels to power our brew house and we are also in the process of adding another 50KW of solar panels to help power the restaurant too.”
The brewery adds this accolade to their growing list, which includes a gold medal for their Extra Special Bitter and Black and Tannin brews at this year’s Australian International Beer Awards.
