Football Federation South West held their inaugural presentation night in Busselton on Tuesday, November 29 with over 200 people attending.
Three years ago FFSW had two training centres and roughly 50 players, which has now risen to four centres in Busselton, Bunbury, Australind and Margaret River with over 250 registered players combined.
On the night, each centre presented one trophy to the player who exhibited the most talent and effort, to be considered for this award the player had to consistently show both of these qualities throughout the year.
In the Under 10 age group coach Adam Guthridge awarded Hudson Wright the talent and effort trophy.
The aim of FFSW Training Centres is to make aspiring young footballers better people and players on and off the field.
FFSW technical director Jack Eades said the centres core values dictated how they coached and the environment they provided for everyone.
Mr Eades said the centres aim were to not only be professional in all they do, but to also set high standards and lead the way in innovative coaching and session content.
He said this would develop creative and exciting players who could make decisions for themselves and take a lead role in their own development.
“Football can be a platform to engage people in positive thinking and install good values,” he said.
