The Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club will set sail at the Knotting Hill Winery on Saturday for their annual regatta in the vineyards.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event and enjoy the spectacle of the blue-sailed minnows in the junior fleet and Spanish dinghies in the senior fleet.
Sailors will be vying for bragging rights as they go around the lake and there will most likely be plenty of rivalry on display from the yachtsman as they make their way around the course.
Spectators can enjoy a picnic at the winery from the balcony and the ground lawns.
Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club member Joan Embry said it would be a great day showing the club’s sailors and boats.
“People can enjoy the beautiful surrounds of the lake at the winery in a picnic setting on the lawns and in the winery itself,” she said.
“Bring your own lunch, or enjoy the food at the winery, and the marron.
“And of course sample the beautiful variety of wines available at this choice location.”
The Knotting Hill Winery is located at 247 Carter Road in Wilyabrup, and will be open from 11am from Saturday.
It was first established in 1997 by the Gould family who started the winery by planting vines and building the cellar door and dam where the race will take place.
