A team of four canoes from the Geographe Outriggers paddled out to the depths of Geographe Bay to welcome the Queen Mary 2 on Monday.
It was the first time the 345 metre long ship anchored in Busselton bringing 2700 passengers to shore.
Marnie Davis from the group said at first they could not see the ship then it emerged out of the misty rain.
“It was the most amazing paddle I have ever done,” she said.
