Friends have paid tribute to 61-year-old Busselton woman Jenni Pratt who was tragically killed in a terrifying head-on collision in Capel on Saturday.
Ms Pratt died after a green Landcruiser crossed to the wrong side of Bussell Highway and collided with the white Toyota Rav4 Mrs Pratt was driving.
Ms Pratt’s passenger Karen Williams, 54 and the driver of the Landcruiser, Shaun Southern, 45, both remain in hospital in a critical condition.
Ms Pratt was remembered on Facebook as a loving mother who lived life to the fullest.
“She touched our hearts with her infectious smile and giggle," one friend said.
"Such a bubbly happy soul. RIP beautiful Jen," another wrote.
"Jenni was always the most beautiful soul. She loved life and loved her family fiercely. So so sad to hear this news."
Mr Southern, from Usher, allegedly drove erratically from Wonnerup Beach before being involved in the head-on collision.
Police are yet to speak to Mr Southern, who remains under police guard at Perth Royal Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
Witnesses filmed the lead up to the crash and were quick to rush in to provide assistance.
A person who was in the area at the time, Jake Mangini, told the Mail he was driving along Layman Road when he saw a vehicle travelling on the wrong side of the road shortly before the accident.
Mr Mangini said the car did not return to the left lane and he had been forced to swerve off the road to avoid a collision.
Footage of Mr Southern swerving on to the wrong side of the road in his green Toyota LandCruiser was captured by Dan Mateljan as he travelled with two friends in a car behind the 4WD.
Up to 20 vehicles were forced into ditches during the incident, which lasted several minutes.
Mr Mateljan called police after first seeing the vehicle driving on the wrong side of the highway.
Another witness, Larz Erikkson, told Radio 6PR on Monday morning he was praying there would not be an accident. He and his friends were following the car while they reported the incident to police on the phone.
The Major Crime squad has taken over the investigation and want to speak to anyone who may have seen the crash or the green Toyota Landcruiser shortly before the crash.
