Murray-Wellington residents turned out in droves to vote in one of the most hotly-contested state elections of recent times.
North Yunderup Country Women’s Association (CWA), Austin Cove Baptist College, Pinjarra Senior High School and Carcoola Primary School saw large numbers of voters throughout the morning and into the afternoon, as well as polling places in Dwellingup, Waroona, Australind and Harvey.
The sausage sizzle competition was hot as well, with the ladies of the North Yunderup CWA putting on some top-level competition.
