The program for this year’s Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival has been announced, with British author, actor and comedian Michael Palin revealed as the headline guest for 2017.
The renowned Monty Python member and long time television presenter will join a star studded list of literary greats and talented locals at this year’s festival.
Taking the reins at the festival for the first time, festival director Tanya Perdue said the calibre of names on the guest list meant fans would need to secure their tickets early to avoid disappointment.
“We truly have an incredibly strong and diverse line-up of writers coming to Margaret River for this year’s festival”, she said.
”The addition of Michael Palin to an already impressive line-up of authors, journalists, literary icons and rising stars means the festival will be bigger and better than even before.”
Journalist Kerry O’Brien and cooking queens Stephanie Alexander and Anna Gare join Palin on the star-packed list for the three day festival, while surfing fans have reason to smile with the addition of authors Tim Baker and Jock Serong to the lineup.
The festival, which will be held at the Margaret River Cultural Centre, will offer a program of activities across the weekend
