The death of a woman found in a Broome shopping centre car park is now being treated as suspicious.
Police were called to Paspaley Plaza car park on Carnarvon Street on Saturday about 8.50am, and later put the car park into lock down.
Major Crime detectives from Perth attended the scene on Sunday and several vehicles that were parked near where the woman's body was found were kept for inspection.
It has now been confirmed the body is of a 23-year-old woman from Port Hedland.
A WA police spokesperson said Kimberley Detectives were now asking owners of the vehicles to collect their cars from the shopping centre.
"Police at the scene will be requesting the details of the driver and passengers of all vehicles that were present when the vehicle was parked," they said.
"Broome Detectives understand the frustration of numerous people who were unable to re-attend their vehicles yesterday.
"We thank all those people for their patience and understanding as we investigate the death of a woman found in the car park yesterday."
Police will be processing cars out of the rear and upper car parks from 8.30am on Sunday morning.
Those collecting a vehicle have been asked to attend the police roadblock, situated at the end of Carnarvon Street, in order to provide their details.
Investigations into the woman's death are ongoing.
