A 60-year-old man, whose head hit bitumen after being allegedly punched by a Busselton man, has died from his injuries.
Police report the incident occurred on Friday at around 9.15pm, where the two men who were known to each other, became involved in a physical altercation on Eighth Avenue in Maylands.
Police allege during the altercation, the 60-year-old man was punched, causing him to fall to the ground where he hit his head on bitumen.
He was taken to hospital with critical injuries but did not regain consciousness and died in hospital on Monday.
Major Crime Squad detectives have charged the 45-year-old Busselton man with aggravated grievous bodily harm and he has been bailed to next appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on April 19.
