Small business owners are invited to attend a public forum with the Minister for Small Business Michael McCormack in Busselton on Wednesday.
Forrest MP Nola Marino will host the event at the Busselton Community Resource Centre between 8am to 9.30am to provide an opportunity for small business owners to ask the minister questions at a question and answer panel.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics there are more than 12,600 small businesses in the region with 2800 small businesses in construction and 1800 small businesses in agriculture.
In Australia, there were 2.1 million small businesses which employed five million people, accounting for half of the country’s employment.
Ms Marino said the government delivered the lowest small business tax rate in half a century which would help Australia’s economic environment create jobs for people in the South West.
