Vasse MP Libby Mettam has joined forces with AccordWest for their annual Coat-A-Thon.
The Coat-A-Thon appeal seeks donations of warm clothing and blankets which are distributed to both adults and children in need.
Donations of coats/jackets, jumpers, blankets, scarves and beanies are all needed, along with other warm clothing people may have sitting unused in their wardrobe.
“Last year there was an increase in demand for children clothing and there are many people that will be in need this winter, ” Ms Mettam said.
“I would encourage everyone to take the time to look for any other warm item for adults and children that may be sitting unused and donate them to those in need.”
The appeal runs from May until mid June, donations can be made at Libby Mettam’s office along Prince Street in Busselton.
“My office is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and I welcome donations of any kind, big or small, for this fantastic initiative.”
