Sara Connor can finally rest easy that her five-year sentence for the fatal group assault of a Bali police officer will not be increased again after the prosecution ruled out one last appeal.
A scared-looking Connor had already told Denpasar District Court clerk Nengah Sanjaya last week: "I don't want to appeal, I don't want to appeal," after the High Court increased her sentence from four to five years.
Now the prosecution has also decided against a final appeal to Indonesia's highest court - the Supreme Court.
The conclusion of the court proceedings will mean that Connor can start to accrue remissions to her sentence on Independence Day and religious holidays.
The new found certainty may also mean her two young sons, whom Connor has not seen since an ill-fated holiday to Bali last August, could visit her.
Connor, 46, and her British DJ boyfriend, David Taylor, were both found guilty of the fatal group assault of Wayan Sudarsa, a Bali police officer of 35 years.
Mr Sudarsa was found dead on a Kuta beach near the Pullman Hotel with 42 wounds to his body on August 17 last year.
He and Taylor had begun fighting after the British DJ had accused him of stealing Connor's handbag as they kissed at the water's edge.
Connor and Taylor were sentenced to four and six years' jail respectively.
Both testified that it had been Taylor who delivered the fatal blows - including with a Bintang beer bottle that he smashed against the police officer's head - while Connor had tried to separate the two men as they wrestled on the beach.
However a panel of three High Court judges found Connor's light sentence did not take into consideration two aggravating factors.
These were that Connor had not tried to help Mr Sudarsa as he lay face down in the sand and she had damaged Indonesia's - specifically Bali's - tourism image.
Prosecutor Agung Jayalantara said the prosecution had decided to accept the High Court ruling.
"The whole legal considerations by the prosecutor were accepted by the District Court panel of judges," he said.
"And the appeal ruling by the High Court only changed the length of the sentence."
Mr Agung said the High Court judges had agreed with the legal considerations made by the prosecutor.
