US President Donald Trump has announced his choice for the new director of the FBI.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday night, Trump said Christopher Wray - a former Assistant Attorney-General in the George W. Bush administration - would be nominated for the role.
He said Wray, who is 50, had "impeccable credentials".
"I will be nominating Christopher A. Wray, a man of impeccable credentials, to be the new Director of the FBI," Trump said. "Details to follow."

According to the website of the US Department of Justice, Wray attended the prestigious Yale University and Yale Law School, before becoming a clerk for a judge on the US Court of Appeals in the Fourth Circuit.
He entered private practice in the state of Georgia in 1993, before joining the US Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia in 1997.
As his career progressed, he served as an Associate Deputy Attorney-General at US Department of Justice headquarters in Washington, DC, later becoming Principal Associate Deputy Attorney-General.
In 2003, President Bush nominated Wray as Assistant Attorney-General in charge of the Criminal Division, which oversees the and enforces all federal criminal laws in the US.
He served as Assistant Attorney-General for two years. He is currently a partner at law firm King & Spalding, where he focuses on white collar crime, government investigations and crisis management among other specialty areas of practice.
His nomination comes after the former FBI director, James Comey, was fired on May 9 over what Trump said was his mishandling of the investigation into Hilary Clinton's use of a private email server.
However, at the time he was fired, Comey was leading an investigation into links between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Trump's critics have accused him of attempting to halt the investigation by getting rid of Comey, who had served in his role since September 2013.
The former FBI director will testify before a Senate committee on Thursday morning, local time, and is expected to be questioned on the detail of his conversations with Trump.
He is also expected to face questions on whether he believes Trump was pressuring him to back off from parts of his investigation into Trump campaign ties to Russia.
After Comey was sacked, his associates leaked a memo he had penned in February which describes a conversation where Trump told Comey to drop an investigation into former White House security adviser Mike Flynn.
According to the New York Times, Trump told Comey: "I hope you can let this go". Flynn was being investigated over dealings with Turkey and Russia.
