Wonnerup residents John and Daryl Craig could drive off in a new car next Thursday if they are lucky enough to pick the winning envelopes in a competition.
The couple bought a roller door from B&D Garage Doors earlier this year which made them eligible to take part in a nationwide competition to win a Subaru Outback.
In order to drive away in the new car, Mr Craig must select three envelopes from nine which contain a winning message.
If he doesn’t win the car, the Craigs will walk away with a consolation cash prize.
Mr Craig said he had won a chook raffle at the yacht club and a couple of wood raffles before but nothing like this, he had been thinking positive vibes and envisioned himself winning the competition.
“So far we only know we are going to get a consolation prize, but it is exciting even though I am trying not to get too excited about winning the car,” he said.
Ms Craig said it was unexpected when they found out they were in the running and had entered the competition without giving it anymore thought.
Mr Craig said so many times you go in competitions and never think it will work.
“It is like buying a lotto ticket,” he said.
“Ms Craig has an 11 year-old Mitsubishi 380 which is not worth much, and we just use it to go to Perth and back and do all the miles, so it would be nice to win a new car.”
The Craigs will find out if they drive away in a new car next Thursday, when they draw the envelopes at Sheds Down South.
