Vasse Primary’s Rahn Lee received a royal surprise on Monday, August 14.
The year 2 student quickly realised this was no normal envelope waiting for him and was amazed
to discover the letter addressed to him was from Buckingham Palace.
The letter was in reply to a handmade birthday present and letter Rahn sent to her Majesty back in June.
Rahn’s letter included a photo of himself along side a photo of the Queen from her March 2000 visit to Vasse Primary along with the model plane he made for her 91st birthday.
In her reply, the Queen thanked Rahn for the letter and model plane, saying it was a “splendid piece”.
Her Majesty also said that she was pleased to be reminded of the happy time she had when she visited Vasse Primary.
Her Majesty sent her goodwishes to everyone at Vasse Primary.
