Dunsborough resident, 22 year old Harry Lill will be cycling from Perth to Melbourne for BeyondBlue.
Harry has teamed up with three of this friends; Oscar Wharton, Sam Love and Naish Wallace to tackle the massive task, all in the name of mental health awareness.
The team, who describe themselves as regular guys, are embarking on the challenge to help raise much needed funds for BeyondBlue.
They want to help break the stigma around mental health and spread the message that it is okay to talk about your mental well being.
Leaving on November 22 from Domain Stadium, the group have challenged themselves to complete the 3500 kilometre journey in just 15 days.
“We have set our donation goal at $5000 and any donations big or small are hugely appreciated,” Harry said.
“Our main goal is to open up the conversation about mental health.
“We've been training for a few weeks now, but none of us are by any means experienced cyclists. So it is definitely going to be a challenge.”
Harry works at the Rotary Residential College while the other team members work for the Guildford Grammar Boarding House.
They all said working with the youth was one of the main reasons they decided to embark on this challenge.
“We are all in the 17-24 age bracket, an age where one in four people suffer from depression,” Naish said.
The group of cyclists chose to support BeyondBlue because the organisation supported something they were all passionate about, which was opening up the conversation about depression.
“We are proudly supporting BeyondBlue, a group that is working hard to help improve the lives of people affected by depression, anxiety and suicide,” Harry said.
“We want to show that it is okay to talk and open up, to your friends and family.
“That's why we named it the #LetsTalk Ride.”
