A huge crowd braved the weather at Bunbury’s Hands Oval on Sunday for the 2017 South West Football League grand finals.
This year, Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault will attempt to become the third club to win all three premierships after Carey Park cleaned up in 1963 and South Bunbury dominated in 1984.
The Lions colts were no match for the Bunbury Bulldogs who were looking to atone for last year’s grand final loss to HBL.
The Bulldogs won 13.7.85 to 8.10.58.
HBL reserves had no luck in completing back-to-back undefeated premierships with South Bunbury left standing in their way.
The Tigers won 4.15.39 to 6.10.46.
The best two sides of the league competition, HBL and Bunbury battled it out for grand final glory. The Lions got the better of Bunbury a fortnight ago but it was the Bulldogs moment to shine on grand final day.
Bunbury took it home 10.8.68 to 2.6.18.
