The Busselton Golf Club will be hosting a ladies golf day and have invited women at all levels of experience to take part in their nine-hole ambrose competition.
The golf day which takes place on Sunday, October 15 will have free clinics from 2.30pm before the ambrose game which starts at 3.30pm.
After the game there will be a fashion show with wine and nibbles to finish off the day.
Busselton Golf Academy head professional Jemma Price said they would like to have more ladies involved who are completely new to golf.
A clinic will be held before the game to help the newbies become accustomed with general instructions and tips.
There will also be a specialist from Cobra Puma on hand to show them how to use the equipment, which can be borrowed from the golf club if they don’t have their own sticks.
Ms Price said ambrose has a shotgun start which meant everyone would begin and finish at the same time.
“The event is ambrose – it is really casual and works so everybody hits their shot and picks the best one - then everyone hits from that spot to move forward throughout the round,” she said.
“There is no pressure to hit a good shot - somebody else will – for brand new golfers it is really relaxed.
“We also have a really good chef here and he is excited about doing a spread for the ladies after the golf.”
Bookings are essential to register contact the Busselton Golf Shop on 9753 1050 or email bussogolf@gmail.com.
