A gathering was held at the City of Busselton council chambers on Friday evening for the launch of the new edition of ‘Busselton: Outstation on the Vasse – 1830-1850’.
The book was officially launched by acclaimed historian Professor Geoffrey Bolton, and was attended by councillors and members of the community.
The book, written by Rodger Jennings in 1933, provides a complete history of Busselton and the broader district.
Cr Tom Tuffin spoke to the group on behalf of the city, congratulating the Busselton Oral History Group for accepting the challenge to reprint the third edition of the book.
“We are fortunate indeed to have such an active group of history enthusiasts here in the City of Busselton,” he said.
