Indie pop band Brufield will be taking their new single Unhappy to the South West, playing at the Dunsborough Tavern this Friday, October 27.
The Australian based pop rockers have had a busy four years cementing their reputation as one of Perth’s must see bands.
Brufield take audiences on a rollercoaster ride of emotion from the lows of their brooding ballads to the highs of their sparkling pop anthems.
It will be the first time the band plays in Dunsborough, having only previously preformed in Margaret River. Lead singer Lisa Caulfield is excited to be visiting one of the South Wests top foodie locations.
“I am a massive foodie, so while I’m not on stage you will definitely find me someone treating myself to something delicious,” she said.
The band will be bringing a more chilled vibe to the show, with only three members attending.
“Smaller gigs are different to the larger ones, when we play a big festival I am jumping around on stage, crowd surfing… but when it’s a smaller show, the audience gets to really be involved, really get to know what the song is about.
Lisa said audiences should prepare themselves for something a bit different with this show.
“With our new single Unhappy, it is a big ballad, it brings a different energy to it, we have a string quartet with us to help bring it to life.”
The highly anticipated new single Unhappy will be released November 17.
“People will take from it what they will, which is what we want in a way, for everyone to take something from it. For us it is about the how things that make you unhappy and the things that make you happy can often be the same or overlap in some way.”
When it comes to touring, singer Lisa likes to keep things simple.
“I actually pack really light, I just need to make sure I bring my guitar, because I have left it before.
“It is all the guys who bring more stuff, I’m easy, I just want to get on stage as soon as possible.”
