Construction Manager - Solar Farm

Your new company

My client is one of the most exciting EPC contractors in the country. They specialise in delivering renewable energy solutions such as solar farms, commercial rooftop solar and microgrids. They have a successful track record in delivering some of the industry’s most well-known projects and are now looking to expend the team further as they continue to grow their project portfolio. Your new role

The Construction Manager will primarily be responsible for managing the Mechanical Build division, and managing the piling, mechanical build, panelling, and civil components of their renewable projects. The role will require you to be involved in the estimating, design, construct and handover of the above project components. You will be required to have detailed understanding of the constructibility of ground mount solar systems (civil, mechanical build, piling). Site presence (including remote/national sites) required on a regular basis to ensure the effective management of the team and quality of workmanship.

What you'll need to succeed:

• 3 years minimum experience in a similar position within the construction industry.
• Completion of management, leadership, commercial or similar program is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with running a site for a solar project.
• Demonstrated understanding of implementing Quality & HSE procedures & promoting a safety culture onsite.
• Experience in managing both subcontractors and employees onsite.
• Developed understanding of QA and QC process and implementation onsite.
• Ability to build strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals
