Lived Experience Worker- Eating Disorder Carer

Latrobe Regional Hospital have an exciting opportunity for an Eating Disorders Carer Lived Experience Worker to join the Specialist and Therapeutic programs team on a part time - ongoing basis.

This role plays an important role in supporting carers and actively participating in key LRH mental health service committees and has a presence on relevant working groups, committees, meetings and involvement in policy development.

The mental health Lived Experience Worker role models high standards of engagement, inclusion and advocate for the carer consumer group at all levels across the organisation at Latrobe Regional Hospital.

The successful applicant will:

  • supported a person with an eating disorder during their time utilising Mental Health Services
  • Strong commitment to providing a carer perspective on Mental Health Services
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and liaise with other consumers, carers, staff members and other relevant agency
