Cemetery grounds person

Your new company
You will be representing Hays on a temporary ongoing basis working for the Gold Coast City Council.

Your new role
You will be working at a local cemetery as a general grounds person. You will be assisting field staff in burial set up, pack up as well as carrying out work around the gardens:

• Digging/turfing graves
• Setup and pack down of cemetery equipment for funerals
• Hedging
• Landscaping maintenance

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced grounds person with the ability to lead in a positive and supportive manner. Resilience is crucial in this role along with the following minimum requirements:

• Current and up to date CV
• Two recent and relevant work related references from your most previous employers
• Current C class licence
• MR licence
• Gardening/landscaping experience
• Excavator and/or skid steer loader tickets (with experience operating)

What you'll get in return
You will have one dedicated Hays consultant who will work with you throughout your assignment and liaise about any future opportunities in both the public and private sectors. You will also have the opportunity to receive a weekly pay.
