Norwest Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with at least 1-year surgical experience, excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established nursing team on our orthopaedic surgical ward.

Norwest Private Hospital is located in the rapidly developing North West corridor of Sydney and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia. The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney's Bella Vista.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
  • Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
  • Lead successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Act as a role model for Safe Practice

Essential Criteria:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • 1-2 years' experience in a surgical hospital setting
  • Experience in orthopaedic surgery (desirable)
  • Working with Children check
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Intermediate computer skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024, a salary ranging from $33.91 - $47.62 per hour.
