Senior Distribution Design Engineer

Your new company

You will be working for a leading provider of engineering services to utility and energy organisations, government departments, councils, and other major Australian companies. They are recognised provider of high-quality designs for OH/URD lines and substations up to 66kV, street lighting and distribution asset relocations. They pride themselves of the quality of work they do, by having a high success rate in compliance. Due to influx of work they are hiring a Senior Distribution Designer to join their close-knit and fun team!

Your new role

In your new role as an experienced Distribution Designer you will be responsible for technical delivery and coordination of the Design Team activities and projects. Job duties also include preparations of tenders and quotations and successful candidate is ready to participate in stakeholder meetings and present the project reports. As a team lead you know that without great teamwork there is no individual success and to meet agreed deadlines can be a struggle. This employer gives you an opportunity to work for the major utilities’ companies, using the latest technology available.

What you'll need to succeed

This role is best suited to someone who has an extensive distribution design experience and is interested to step up in their career to become the Team lead.

• Preferably Tertiary Qualification in an Electrical Engineering or industry equivalent experience 6-7 years
• Detailed knowledge of Electrical distribution networks from low voltage to sub-transmission (66kV), URD and Public Lighting
• Ideally have design accreditation with Victorian Network Services Providers
• Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD or PLSCADD
• Detailed knowledge of electrical construction standards and specifications in the electrical system
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Project Management experience is highly regarded
• Current Drivers license
