Your New Team
The Workforce and Workplace network team is responsible for delivering leading network services used by the bank teams to achieve business outcomes. The team is responsible for remote access services, proxy services, the entire bank branch & corporate network environment covering Australia and its international office locations in addition to executing a SDWAN program to enrich the network experiences of the organization employees.
Your new role
You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Execute and support the Global Technology Services business unit with design, engineering and implementation of network security and connectivity, to provide business value across multiple programmes and initiatives.
- Provide technical consulting and advice to projects to ensure alignment to Cyber Security, Network Architecture, and operational stability of the organization’s network assets.
- Work within a team environment and across business units to complete associated tasks including network software patching, vulnerability assessment and incident management
- Produce high quality, sustainable solutions to meet business requirements, leveraging approved delivery frameworks.
What you’ll need to succeed
1. Senior Network Engineer (Remote Access connectivity)
- Firewall and security policy management. Palo Alto Firewalls, Prisma and Panorama experience. Would also consider experience in other platforms such as CheckPoint , Cisco or Fortinet.
- Level 3 hands-on configuration, administration and troubleshooting of Palo Alto / Cisco/ Checkpoint firewalls.
- Proxy and remote access solutions such as Blue coat / Z scalar /MyRas.
Maintain system health and performance through proactive maintenance and patching activities across infrastructure:
- Manage escalation of complex technical issues from suppliers, operations and application teams
- Author and maintain detailed network security design documents, ensuring accuracy and representation of firewall configuration and deployment of security policy.
- Perform network capacity assessments and remediate network constraints
- Supporting and implementation of changes outside of regular business hours, after hours on call as required to support project initiatives and resolve network incidents
2. Senior Network Engineer (Branch, Corporate & International connectivity)
- Mandatory knowledge and demonstrated experience of Routing & Switching, Wireless and SD WAN. Cisco Switches (Nexus and IOS) and Routers.
- Design of core switching and routing technologies such as VXLAN, VPN BGP, and OSPF. SDWAN technology /vendor options, branch and main office connectivity design & implementation.
- Maintain and update Network Management tools including Solarwinds, Infoblox, Algosec, and CMDB configuration stores
- Manage escalation of complex technical issues from suppliers, operations and application teams
- Author and maintain detailed network security design documents, ensuring accuracy and representation of firewall configuration and deployment of security policy.
- Perform network capacity assessments and remediate network constraints
