Where can you go to find the latest looks and most cutting edge fashion trends? Paris. Milan. New York. Sydney Royal Easter Show poultry pavilion. For the past 30 years, Aussie ducks have been aflap in the finest of fashions at the annual Pied Piper Duck Show. It's considered one of the highlight events of Sydney's annual easter show, attracting 900,000 visitors each year, according to organiser and farmer Brian Harrington. Each fashionista fowl is given the opportunity to strut its stuff on the catwalk (or quackwalk, if you will!) in three designer-made outfits for day, evening, and wedding attire. Shame there isn't a swimwear category. It's where they're most natural. Ahem, au naturale, that is... Make no mistake though, these ain't no run-of-the-mill penguin suits. The haberdashery talent on these hats, bustles, corsets, ties and fascinators is really second to known! Some of Australia's finest dressmakers have taken part in the event, tailoring their designer looks for a more swan-like physique than your average catwalk model might boast! This is the only show where 'ties and tails' is meant quite literally!
