Georgiana Molloy Anglican School’s Aimee Telford claimed second prize in the upper primary category with her tale Over the Wall, a heart-rending tale of a refugee.

Cape Naturaliste College student Indigo Atkinson came second in the upper secondary category with Truth, a story that observes the layers of family dynamics and carefully examines intergenerational relationships.

Aimee and Indigo, who were two of three regional entrants, joined 13 finalists at the award ceremony at the Subiaco Library on August 15, where they were congratulated on stage by Tim Winton.
