Bootleg Rascal are hitting the West Coast as part of their Shake n Bake tour and will bring the party to Clancy’s Fish Pub in Dunsborough on Saturday, January 28.
The Sydney dub-rock band are well known for their fun-live shows and will bring with them two other bands from their record label Sureshaker Music.
Drummer Jack Gray said the the three bands were all mates and the tour had been like “throwing parties all around the country.”
“It will be a good time for sure,” he said.
While the group are regular visitors to the South West and have a following based here, Gray said it was hard for the band to make regular trips to this side of the country.
“It is such a shame it is not closer, but that is just Australia, isn’t it,” he said.
“We try to get over to the West Coast as often as we can. It is such a beautiful place, the beaches are beautiful, the coast is beautiful, all the people are really nice and it is definitely a lot more relaxed and laid back compared to the East Coast.”
Gray said it was great for the band to visit the region because it gave them an opportunity to chill out from the fast pace of Sydney and enjoy what is on offer.
The band are currently working on their second album which should be ready at the end of this year and have been recording in between gigs.
“We just keep doing what we are doing and trying to make the album bigger and better than the last one,” he said.
They also hope to tour Europe and the US again this year.
“It was great touring there I was in shock at how many people knew the songs, with the internet now it is just so powerful,” he said.
