Two men dead in boating incident, Dodges Ferry
Two men have died in a boating incident in the Dodges Ferry and Lewisham area this morning.
Tasmania Police were advised of a boating incident just after 7am involving three men on a 4.9 aluminium runabout.
Police confirmed that two of the three men had died in the incident, with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter used to rescue the third man and retrieve the bodies of the two men.
The third man was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital suffering minor injuries.
Police say it was a “significant operation” with uniformed police and the helicopter involved.
