Hundreds of sailors braved wild conditions on Sunday for day one of the 2017 Club Marine Port Geographe Race Week in Busselton.
Wind gusts of 33 knots (61.2 kilometres per hour) lashed the coastline with an average wind speed of 20 knots (36.4km/h) throughout the day.
